Tyler Monkman played two seasons for coach Brad Tuttle at Kaskaskia Community College. Named best defensive player both seasons, hit .284 with four doubles, four triples, four home runs and 24 RBIs as a sophomore. Was 17-for-18 in stolen bases as a freshman. Two-time all-conference selection at Clinton High School. Went 10-0 with a 1.11 ERA in helping the Maroons to a 27-5 record. Hit .407 as a junior, four-year letter winner in football and wrestling. Two-time all-conference selection in both sports. Set school record for receptions and yards in a season.
